Our aim is to educate and inform our customers about how to take small steps to tackle climate change. Integral to this message has been Sky’s commitment to climate change and how, as a company, we have taken steps to reduce our carbon emissions operationally across the business. In May 2006, we became carbon neutral, the first media company in the world to do so. Over the last three years we have reduced our carbon emissions by 27%, secured and purchased 100% of our electricity for Sky-owned sites from renewable resources and have also increased the percentage of recycled paper in the Sky magazine.
